What excites you about your residency/fellowship at Corewell Health in West Michigan? Since my interview day, I have been very impressed by the welcoming and supportive environment at Corewell Health in West Michigan. The strong sense of community among the faculty, residents, and overall Corewell Health team is evident. I could feel the sense of inclusivity and collaboration that I was looking for in a residency program. Furthermore, the opportunity to train at a state-of-the-art Children's Hospital with a wide array of sub-specialists seemed like a tremendous opportunity. I am excited about the chance to learn, grow, and face daily challenges in an environment that offers exposure to a wide range of disease pathologies. I look forward to being a part of a program that values diversity and inclusivity, especially when it comes to caring and advocating for patients and their families from all walks of life. Joining the Corewell Health family feels like a perfect fit for me, and I cannot wait to explore all the opportunities that Grand Rapids has to offer.
What are your clinical interests? I am currently drawn to procedure-based sub-specialties, with a particular interest in critical care settings such as PICU and NICU. However, I am also receptive to broadening my knowledge and skills by exploring the wide range of subspecialties provided by Corewell Health in West Michigan.
Hobbies: During my free time, I enjoy singing (karaoke nights are my jam), game nights (Organ Attack is a must!) and reading. I also like going to sporting events, especially baseball and volleyball games. And when it comes to unwinding, there's nothing better than a good sitcom (Friends, How I Met Your Mother, or Schitt's Creek) or medical drama.
